MEET THE FOUNDERS

Fraser Campbell
Founder and Director

 

Fraser is a professional whisky host and consultant with 25 years of experience in the hospitality and drinks industry.

 

Born and raised in Speyside, Scotland’s whisky heartland, Fraser's career began in his hometown of Forres and expanded to the cocktail scenes of Edinburgh, Melbourne, and Barcelona.

 

His extensive travels as the Dewar’s Global Brand Ambassador for Bacardi Global Brands took him to over 40 countries, where he shared his profound love and knowledge of whisky.

 

Fraser's innovative and entrepreneurial mindset has led to the creation of several industry projects and initiatives, such as The Global Bartender Exchange and Work from Bars.

 

Now back in Scotland after 13 years working outside of Scotland, he continues to create memorable whisky experiences and share his expertise with enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.

Mitch Bechard

Founder and Director

 

Mitch brings over 15 years of extensive experience in the Scotch whisky industry to Whisky Talks.

 

Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the largest and most renowned whisky brands in the world, including Johnnie Walker and Glenfiddich.

 

Mitch's roles have taken him across the globe, where he has educated and entertained thousands through hosting training sessions, judging international tasting panels, and writing insightful articles on whisky.

 

Mitch founded his whisky experience company CopperCairn in 2021, and also founded and co-hosts Not Another Whisky Podcast.

 

His contributions to the whisky industry have been recognised with the prestigious title of Keeper of the Quaich, an honour bestowed on a select few for their dedication to promoting Scotch whisky.
